Introductory post

This is a blog of my training/planning for climbing both Pikes Peak and Uncompahgre Peak, two fourteeners in Colorado that I climbed 38 years ago when I was 11.  My intent is climb both of them next summer (2013) when I will turn 50.  First I need to drop fifty pounds in order to greatly reduce the work involved with getting my body up these mountains. :)
